Delicious

Use the social bookmarking site Delicious.com to easily save links to items of interest for your congregation or school and immediately display the links on your web site, keeping your site fresh and timely.


Step One
Create a Delicious account - Sign up and install browser plugins Video Tutorial

  1. Go to Delicious.com and sign up for a free account. If you have an existing account, you may choose to intermix the bookmarks there or create a separte account dedicated to this task.
  2. Install shortcut buttons in your browser for easy bookmarking (Delicious browser plugin help).
Step Two
Tag items of interest consistently - Save desired links with the same tag Video Tutorial

  1. Decide on a tag and use it consistently as you add bookmarks for items you want displayed on your web site.
  2. Use an alternate tag(s) to generate feeds for different areas of your web site.
Step Three
Add the RSS feed to your site - Grab the feed URL and embed it on your site Video Tutorial

  1. Visit the tag page and find/copy the feed. The tag URL is typically www.delicious.com/YourUserName/YourTag and the feed URL is typically feeds.delicious.com/v2/rss/YourUserName/YourTag.
  2. Add the feed to your web site.
